It is the position of Summit Christian School that these services of private education in Florida shall be provided to the children in the state without discrimination based on race, color, national and ethnic origin.

Steps to NEW Enrollment
The following process is required for registration to be finalized:

  1. Tour of facility

  2. Schedule testing date

  3. Submit completed application with $100 application fee (non-refundable and non-transferable)

  4. Submit copies of most recent report card, standardized test results*

  5. Submit copy of birth certificate and recent photo of applicant

  6. Submit medical information (HRS medical form & immunization records)

  7. Initiate recommendation form process

  8. Submit registration fee (non-refundable and non-transferable)

  9. Attend parent/student interview with administrator

  10. Complete and sign Financial Agreement form

*When a student transfers to SCS from any school, a transcript in a sealed envelope must be provided from their last school. This includes their final grades for ninth through twelfth grades and the credits they have earned. The credits from the transferring school will be matched with the credit policy of SCS so that final credits may be given. Students must meet the standards of the state of Florida and FACCS, the only exception being that Bible classes will not have to be made up if students did not attend SCS for all four High School years.

PLEASE NOTE: Applying for admission does not guarantee placement in a class.
It is the first step of the acceptance process for the student.

Tuition accounts must be made current for eligibility to enroll.

     FEES

Application Fee:  $100 per student  This non-refundable fee includes testing and application processing.

Registration Fee: $400 per family THE REGISTRATION FEE AND 1/2 OF THE JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST TUITION PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. The family registration fee includes matriculation costs, student insurance and PTF dues. This fee must be paid at the time of enrollment (or re-enrollment) to hold a place in the class.

K5-12th Grade Book Fee: $350 (Due August 1)
 

Each family must complete and sign the Financial Agreement form. This agreement details Summit Christian School’s financial policies and outlines the tuition payment options. The billing information and signature of the person responsible for the tuition account are required on this form. Your signature indicates you understand and will adhere to the financial policies.

     • Pay Tuition in Full by June 30, 2008 and receive a 3% discount.
       (Credit cards may NOT be used with this payment option.)

     • 10 Month Payment Plan: August through May

*Options B and C details:
Automatic Bank Draft With this option, FACTS Management Company charges an annual fee of $41. Choose to pay on the 5th or the 20th of each month. Payments will be processed via automatic bank draft by FACTS Management company. (A $15 per month service fee is incurred to finance annual tuition.)
Monthly Invoicing by FACTS Management Company With this option, FACTS Management Company charges an annual fee of $45. Payments will be made directly to FACTS. (A $35 per month service fee is incurred to finance annual tuition.)

The FriendsSharing.com program, provides students with a personalized web-based tool to generate support for the ministry of Summit Christian School. Students create their individual webpage in the classroom, alongside their teachers, and then email friends & families, encouraging them to visit their webpage and to financially support them. SCS will then issue your family a Tuition credit for any amount donated over $300 to your student’s webpage.

T.R.I.P. (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program) is a discount certificate program that enables us to purchase certificates from a broker at a discount. These certificates are then offered to families at face value, with a percentage of the savings applied directly to their school tuition account(s). Summit Christian School is committed to caring for our families in their times of need. Scripture tells us in 1 Timothy 5:3 "Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need." To honor that command we are introducing a Widow's Scholarship that provides a widowed parent with a 50% tuition discount for each child enrolled as of the 2008-2009 school year.

Updated! These scholarships are designed to reward students currently enrolled in grades 2-11 for their high level of achievement by financially awarding their families. Credit will be applied monthly August through May of the following school year, unless tuition is paid in full in June. The entire scholarship amount will then be applied at the time of payment. Award Levels:

2nd-5th Grade 6th-12th Grade Award
First Honors Gold Medalist $300
Second Honors Silver Medalist $200
Merit Roll Bronze Medalist $100


Summit has a variety of paid coaching opportunities available throughout the year. We have sports programs in the elementary and middle/high school. Some programs require Saturday morning only, while others are a 5 day a week commitment. Contact Athletic Director Isaac Carter at 686-8081 ext. 362 to inquire about openings.


Any dependent child of a law enforcement officer or professional firefighter (including full-time civilian employees) is eligible for a scholarship of $500 per child. Due to the nature of private school funding, this scholarship will be offered on a year-to-year basis.

Have I Got a School For You!
When you refer a new family to Summit Christian School, Preschool through 12th grade, a $1,000 per family tuition credit will be awarded upon the new family’s enrollment. This award will be divided and credited monthly, August through May, for grades K5-12 and September to August for preschool children. If the new student(s) start school after August 2008, or withdraw before May 2009, the amount of the award will be prorated. This offer may be used by the family that introduces the new student(s) to SCS or it may be assigned to another family by that person. This tuition credit is only applicable during the current school year. No cash awards will be issued.

Any dependent child of a person employed in full time Christian Service is eligible for a scholarship up to a 50% reduction of tuition.

• Full Time Pastors........................50%
• Full Time Employees of
  Palm Beach Atlantic University.....50%
Other Full Time ministry employees.........25%

Due to the nature of private school funding, this scholarship will offered on a year-to-year basis.

 #1 Project Legacy - The Endowment Program


Project Legacy authorizes Summit Christian School to purchase a life insurance policy on your life at no financial risk to you or your investments. If the policy is approved, the school will pay all premium costs. The policy will allow Summit Christian to generate both short and long term benefits from its current and future value.

  Incentives:

 

  Eligibility:

• $5,000 tuition credit applied upon endowment payout
• $250 tuition credit for applicants who pre-qualify and
  are later rejected by the Endowment company.

 

• Seniors ages 70 - 85
• Seniors ages 65 - 69
  (2 year waiting period on funding/tuition credit)

 POLICIES and FEES    Withdrawal of Students
• Students may not be admitted to Summit Christian if an outstanding balance exists at a previously attended private school.
• The registration fee is due at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. This fee must be paid at time of enrollment in order to hold a place in the class.
• The charge for tuition is an ANNUAL FEE, divided into equal installments. It is not based on a daily or calendar month fee.
• All tuition payments will be processed by FACTS Management Company. You may view your payments and account by accessing “My FACTS Account”.
• A $25.00 NSF Fee will be charged for failed Automatic Draft attempts and returned checks (whether written to FACTS or SCS). Additional failed Automatic Draft attempts will incur an additional $25.00 fee. A second attempt may be made to deposit returned checks. The second time the same check is returned, there will be an additional $25.00 fee and the check will not be re-deposited. It must be replaced with cash.
• Late payments will incur a $25.00 Late Fee.
• Your account with Summit Christian School is a family account. This account must be satisfied in order to receive any report cards, transcripts, and records. Payment on past due balances must be made with money order or cash in order for report cards to be released.
• Overdue accounts may result in the student not being permitted to attend school until the account is made current. Accounts must be current to participate in special class trips.
• A cash receipt is ALWAYS given when payment is made in cash. Please keep your receipt so you have a record of your payment.
• Costs expended by the school for a student to attend a trip or event which the student later decides not to attend will be charged to the student’s tuition account (see “School Events/Trips Policy”).
• Attendance for any part of the month (even one day) is considered the same as the entire month and the tuition is the parent’s financial responsibility.
• A $25.00 Withdrawal Fee will be charged to your account if your student is withdrawn before the completion of the school year. Accounts must be paid in full with a money order or cash. Transcripts and records will be forwarded to the new school when the account is cleared.
• In the event that your child(ren) does not start school in August, 50% of 3 months tuition is non-refundable.
• Payments for Extended Care are $55.00 per week (unless otherwise stated due to holiday closings).
There is no daily rate.
  A parent or guardian of the student must complete the Withdrawal Form/Survey in the Main Office on or before the date of withdrawal. On the day following the withdrawal, the registrar will complete the withdrawal process and inform the Business Office of any outstanding accounts, missing textbooks, or library books. Withdrawal grades will be secured from the teachers and upon clearance from the Business Office records will be released to the new school. Students must be enrolled at least 30 days of any nine week’s period before receiving a grade.

A $25.00 Withdrawal Fee per student fee will be charged to your account if your student is withdrawn before the end of the school year.

When a student withdraws from the school at the request of the parent or SCS, the parent’s financial responsibility is as shown on the following chart. Attendance for any part of a month (even one day) is considered the same as the entire month.

     BUS  TRANSPORTATION FEES

Bus transportation fees are annual fees and cannot be prorated. Payment for transportation to and from school will be charged on a monthly basis (9 payments - Sept. through May.) Annual fees are as follows:


Less than 10 miles from school:
Any distance over ten miles will be handled on an individual basis.
In some instances, we will not be able to provide bus service unless students can be delivered to a pickup point.
Please be aware: If you do not sign up for bus service in August when school begins, we cannot guarantee that a seat will be available on a route later in the school year.
