Mrs.
Alicia
Hobson
has been coaching since 2002. After playing
volleyball on a scholarship at Stetson University,
she began coaching at Wellington Christian for one
year as head coach. In 2003 she Co-Coached Glades
Day School’s Varsity Volleyball team where they went
to the Regional Finals. 2004-2007 found her at The
King’s Academy where she won 3 consecutive District
Titles, State Runner-Up and a State Championship. In
2008, she was an assistant coach at Palm Beach
Community College and now is looking forward to her
first year with the Lady Saints. In addition to High
School Volleyball, she has coached travel volleyball
with Palm Beach Juniors for 6 years.
Alicia has earned Palm Beach and Broward Counties Coach
of the Year twice, 2A State Coach of the year and
National Christian School Athletic Association Coach
of the Year.
Alicia has been married since 2003 to husband Darryl.
They have 3 children, Max, Hayden and Ansley who all
attend SCS |

John
was born in Staten Island, NY and played both
baseball and football in school. He moved to central
New York after returning home from Vietnam in 1969
and owned / operated a karate school for the next 25
years. After he moved to Florida in 1994, he retired
from karate and pursued his second love - baseball.
John has coached at Park Vista, Cardinal Newman, and Santaluces. He has coached the Boynton Canes Travel
Team since 1996 and has been instrumental in
obtaining college scholarships for several of his
players. His son, Jordan, is a graduate of SCS,
Class of 2004, who was a member of our Varsity
Championship Baseball Team.

Brian T. Coe has been a special education
educator since 1991. He has been involved with
student athletes since 1992. He has coached
Baseball, Basketball and Football in both Broward
and Palm Beach counties. He has been the Head Coach
at Palm Beach Lakes and John I. Leonard High Schools
and the founder of Rising Star Athletics.
RSA is a non-profit company which provides athletic
and educational programs for student athletes from
ages 7 – 18. In 1990 Brian earned his degree from
the University of Florida in Special Education.
Brian and his wife Janice have been married since
2002. They live in Boynton Beach, FL with their two
boys Brian Jr. and Cameron.

Coach Williams has been a part of the Lady Saints Volleyball program
since 2008. As the Junior Varsity Head Coach, she is
looking forward to an exciting season.
Coach Williams attended Jupiter High School where she was a two sport
standout her freshman and sophomore year,
transferring to Santaluces High School in her junior
year where she lead her team to a 21-8 record and to
19-8 record her senior year.
Her honors include 1985 first team All League. In 1986 she was Second
Team Palm Beach Post, Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel
selections. She was also voted first Team ALL
League.
She ended her high school career voted 1986 Most Improved , Best
Defensive and Most Valuable team player.
Coach Williams began coaching with Oceanside Volleyball Club and Club 4-U
15’s team. She continues to play beach volleyball
competitively and has returned to coaching.
She
is happy to be back with the Lady Saints Volleyball
program and is committed to the mission of the
Summit Christian athletic program, looking forward
to an exciting year. |

Born and raised in
Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Val Latour moved to the
United States in 1992. He spent his first seven
years in New York where he pursued his college
education and music ventures.
In 1999, Val moved to Florida
where he met his wife. He has been married
since 1999 and has two lovely children: a boy
and a girl.
He has been playing volley ball
for over twenty years. Last year, Val had the
privileged to be the assistant coach for the
Girls Varsity team with Mr. Courtright. He also
plays soccer, tennis, racquet ball and ping
pong. Currently, Val is a Licensed Real Estate
Broker and happy to be the Middle School Girls
volleyball head coach at SCS.

Coach Phil Robinson was born in Tampa, FL and
he attended school in West Palm Beach. He graduated
from John I Leonard High School and after graduated
from Broward Community College and The Art Institute
of Fort Lauderdale he later returned as the
assistant coach to the Varsity Boys Basketball team
from 1988-1999. He was also the assistant coach for
Gold Coast Community High School’s Basketball team
before they became a middle school from 1999-2004.
Also, Coach Phil coached basketball for Palm Beach
County Special Olympics, where they won 12 state
titles.
His
coaching experience continues with the West Palm
Beach Police Athletic League, where he has helped a
number of academically challenged young boys enter
and graduate from high school and get an opportunity
to play basketball in college.
While here at Summit Christian School he has been
the assistant coach and the Head coach of the Middle
School Boys Basketball Team, which has won two
consecutive championships, and the Head coach of the
Elementary Boys Basketball Team. Coach Phil has also
been assisting with the Junior Varsity and Varsity
Basketball Teams and assisted with the 08-09 Swim
Team.
Coach Phil is an independent Graphic Designer. He
has created many logos and signs seen throughout the
county, including the Special Olympics specialty tag
seen on vehicles throughout the state. |

Coach
David Stevens was born in New Castle,
Pennsylvania and has lived in West Palm Beach
since 1981. He graduated from Cardinal Newman
High School where he played under current
Varsity head coach Murray Smith. He accepted a
full scholarship to Brewton-Parker College in
Georgia to play basketball and finished his
college at Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Coach Stevens has been coaching at Cardinal
Newman High School since 1998 where he shared in
2 state championships under coach Smith. He is
excited about the "New Direction" Summit
Christian is heading in and about being part of
the Summit team. Coach Stevens has been married
to his high school sweetheart, Nadine, since
1995 and they have a son attending SCS.

Coach
Scott Kisner
has been at Summit Christian since 1997,
coaching various sports such as baseball,
basketball, soccer and golf. He coached baseball
for one year in 1997 and JV Soccer from
1997-2002. During his best year with soccer, the
team finished 8-4. He coached JV Boys Basketball
for a year, Varsity Boys Basketball from
1998-2003, Middle School Boys Basketball for 5
years and has been the Girls Middle School
Basketball Coach since 2005. Coach Kisner's true
love, however, is Golf. He started a Golf
program at SCS in 2002. In its inaugural year,
the team finished 2-12. Having made steady
progress, the team made a complete turnaround
with a 14-4 record for 2005 with three of the
original players from its inaugural season
then and in 2006 sent three players to regionals
with a 16-2 record. He has continued this streak
sending at least one player to regionals each
year since. His team verse for every sport is I
Cor. 9:24, "Know ye not that they which run in a
race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So
run, that ye may obtain it.”

Coach
Wade Gill
graduated from Palm Beach Gardens Community High
School in 1995. He attended Palm Beach Community
College and received an AA degree in Business
Administration. He continued on to Palm Beach
Atlantic University where he acquired a double
major, graduating in December of 2000 with a BA
degree in Christian Social Ministry and A BA in
Psychology.
Coach Gill began teaching at SCS in 2002 and has loved
every moment. He is a Secondary School School
Bible teacher and the Spiritual Life Director for
grades 6-8. He has been coaching since he's been at SCS and has seen several back to back undefeated
seasons in Flag Football (district and school
record.) He is very proud to claim the top defense
in the league since 2004, and he gives credit to his
player's strong work ethic.
Coach Gill is also proud of his time as head coach of
Middle School Boys Soccer. He was blessed to be a
part of 2 district championships. Although he has
coached at differing levels, he believes that Middle
School is when they develop the physical and mental
ability that is key to be successful in the game of
soccer.
Coach Gill has been married since 1999 and has a
wonderful little boy Wade Daniel. His wife Robin and
son are tremendous blessings to him and he thanks
God for them everyday. |

Murray Smith was born in Miami, Florida
the son of a Southern Baptist Minister and English
Teacher. When he was young, they moved to Central
Florida (Eustis). After graduating from Eustis High,
he was elected the most improved player during his
freshman year at Maryville College. After
transferring to Palm Beach Atlantic University, he
played his last three seasons there. He is one of
the all time leaders in assists for a game, a season
and a career. For two seasons, he was awarded the
Unsung Hero award. Murray graduated PBAU in 1984
with a major in Physical Education and a minor in
Mathematics.
Coach Smith taught at Palm Beach Atlantic High
School (formerly known as Twin Lakes) while he
worked to achieve his Masters at Nova University,
earning it in about 2 years. He became an assistant
coach at PBAU for 3 years and later at Palm Beach
Lakes for 2. His first varsity coaching position was
for 1 year at Lake Worth Christian. His next 15
years he spent coaching for Cardinal Newman and
enjoyed great success there.
Coach Smith is excited about the "new direction" the
SCS Basketball program is headed for and is really
glad to be a part of the excitement. The future for
the school and the athletic program is very bright.

Becky
Forester was born and raised in Mississippi. She
received her BA in Christian Education from
Louisiana Baptist University and has been at SCS
since 1980. She has taught Elementary PE and 4th and
5th grade math. Presently she is teaching Middle
School math and is the department head. In years
past she has coached V/JV/JH and elementary
Volleyball, V & JV Softball, V/JV & JH Cheer Squads
and Varsity Track. Coach Forester is very excited
about the 2008-2009 school year as she will be
coaching the Varsity level Cheer Squads (for both
Football and Varsity Basketball) and the JV Cheer
Squad for JV Basketball. Homecoming will be during
the football season which will be a lot of fun! The
cheer squad girls have already done their camp and
are excited and ready for the new school year.
Coach Forester has been married since 1978 and has
three wonderful children, all SCS graduates. She and
her husband are members of Lake Osborne Presbyterian
Church. Her hobbies are shopping and watching old
black & white movies. |

Bobby Moore

Coach
Bobby Moore was born and raised in West Palm
Beach and is a Summit Christian School graduate,
class of 1986.
While at Summit he played Soccer, Basketball and
Baseball under the guidance of Coach Larry Enochs.
He attended Palm Beach Atlantic University and
played soccer, leading his team to a conference
title in his freshmen year. He also enjoyed a brief
career with a semi pro team. He is excited about
returning to Summit and to be a part the program
that he grew up in and hopes to bring a new look to
the Girls Soccer program. He is looking forward to
the trials and triumphs as the team grows
academically, spiritually and athletically.
His life verse is Colossians 3:23 which says
“And whatsoever ye do, do
[it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men”.
In recent years he has coached travel teams
for The Boynton Knights Futball Club as well as the
clubs goalkeepers. Coach Moore has been married since 1998 and has two children, a daughter and
son. |

Gamble
Summit Christian School Athletic Director J.R. Gamble was
born in Mobile, AL. He attended Spanish River High School in Boca
Raton, FL, where he led his school basketball team to their first
district championship as a point guard. He then went on to Santa Fe
Community College where he became the all time Men’s Basketball
steals record holder. He helped his team to a #1 ranking for Florida
Community Colleges, a national ranking of seventh, and the
Mid-Florida Conference Championship.
After graduating from Santa Fe in 1999, he attended Queens
College (now Queens University) in Charlotte NC. While at Queens, he
became the single season steals record holder, single game record
holder for steals, and single season scoring leader with 611 points.
During his senior year, he led his team to their first Elite 8
appearance. He scored 21ppg, grabbing 6.1rpg, dishing out 5.7apg,
and he led the nation, in all divisions, for steals with 4.4 spg. He
was a Division II All-American, Conference (CVAC) Player of the
Year, Athlete of the Year at Queens College, and given the Best
Offensive Player Award at Queens. In addition, he was the recipient
of the Best Defensive Player Award during his junior year.
He graduated Queens with a degree in Philosophy/Religion in 2001
when the Orlando Magic selected J.R., via invitation, to try out for
the 2001 draft. Although he was not drafted, he headed to Europe to
play point guard for Villanova De Gaia in Portugal. There he led the
country in steals with 3.7spg. J.R. served as head
coach for the second division club team for Villanova De Gaia while
starting at point guard for the first division team.
Upon returning to the states, Gamble became the Head Coach for
Atlantic High School from 2003 to 2006. In the 2005-2006 season, he led them to
their first District Championship in over 25 years. He helped change
the culture of the game of basketball for Atlantic High by helping
to improve the academic performance of his student athletes and by
helping them realize the dream of playing collegiate basketball. He
was the Conference Coach of the Year for the 2005-2006 season.
Coach Gamble served as Director of Basketball Operations for
Colorado State University before joining the PBCC family as the
Men’s Assistant Coach in 2006-2007 and was the Head Women's
Basketball Coach for the 2007-2008 season. |
