The athletic department at Summit Christian School
has purposed itself to lead our students/athletes to receive Christ
as their personal Lord and Savior. We intend to help our athletes
understand that God desires to be involved in every aspect of their
lives even in sports. One of the goals of the athletic department is
to help educate our athletes as it relates to the character that
Christ would have the believer to exemplify in various situations
and circumstances. It is our goal to help our athletes mature
spiritually, morally, and socially so that they develop into leaders
on and off the playing fields. Coaches are equipped to recognize
“teaching-moments” so that our student/athletes are being prepared
to affect this world for the cause of Christ. We encourage all of
our athlete’s to become involved with a biblically based church to
ensure that their spiritual development continues outside of Summit
Christian School.
We are so very
excited about this 2009 – 2010 athletic year, as it promises to be
thrilling and electrifying. Our teams are being prepared to
exemplify excellence in the classroom and in their respective sport
as well. We look forward to seeing you at the games.
Go Fighting Saints!
J.R. Gamble, Athletic Director |
GO, FIGHTING SAINTS!
I would like to personally thank you for supporting our athletic
program here at Summit Christian School. We are striving for
excellence in all things and in all things we desire to bring
glory to God. We have high expectations for this athletic year.
Our athletes are well trained, extremely focused, and deeply
committed to representing Summit Christian School, their
families, and God on and off the playing fields.
We look forward to seeing you at the games. Go Fighting Saints!

 Congratulations
to second grader Clay Harris!
All hail the
first place winner of the 1st Annual Summit Slam KDW
Tournament! Clay made Mrs. Scott’s class proud by catching a
14lb dolphin off Palm Beach. Many other fish were caught, but
Clay’s was the only KDW caught that day.
Thanks to all
who participated in this tournament! We had a blast! I look
forward to having it again next year, so all of you fishermen
out there, get ready for the 2nd Annual Summit Slam!

Summit
Christian School has built a brand new weight room facility
for our athletic and physical education department. This facility is
much more spacious and conducive to meeting all of the differing
needs of our students/athletes. We are proud to provide a facility
from which all of our students may benefit. Although the facility is
ready to utilize, there a a few areas of it that we need to
complete, especially the "Team Room". This room will need to be
floored with rubber interlocking tiles that can absorb the pounding
of cleats. We also intend to build individual lockers that each
athlete can hang their uniforms in and lock their personal
belongings in a personal lock box. One of our heart's desires is to
put a sound system in and throughout the facility so that our
athletes can enjoy Christian tunes as they work out and prepare for
competition.
On behalf of
everyone at Summit Christian School, we would like to say thank you
to all who donated their time, treasures, and talents in building
this wonderful facility. If you would like to provide assistance
in completing the facility, please contact our
Athletic
office.

God created this day for
gain, not loss. Success, not failure. Positive actions, not negative thoughts.
O Lord inspire us with desire for greatness. To wisely use these gifts and talents you have
so generously given to us.
They are tools to be used up, not treasures to be stored up.
Create in us the right attitude to excel in the classroom and life. The attitude that says "I can reach deeper inside myself".
The firm belief in God, ourselves, our families, our coaches and our teammates.
The enduring commitment to persevere. To never quit no matter what the score, and to never give up, no matter what the odds.
