Off to a great start! SCS 34 - Miami Hillel, 0
The first official game of the football
season was a huge success for the young SCS football team. With Coach
Coe at the helm, our boys ended the game the same way they started...
TOUGH AND ROUGH! With the lightning fast speed of #5 Luthiel
"Junior" Louinard and the breakaway moves of #3 Carl Young,
it's no wonder our running game has improved. Junior ran for 160 yards
and a touchdown, and #88 Chris Simonson ran for an 18 yard
touchdown reception. Carl Young also ran for 65 yards on a
reception. The fans came out in good numbers Thursday night, which
helped thrust the team into high gear. They played their hearts out for
us and came up with a huge 34-0 win against Hillel High School. #13
Austin Van Es, and #14 Chris Wimer were leading the way at
the Quarterback spot and tossed the ball with precision. #54 Kyle
Courtright used his 6'6", 265 lb frame to crush the offensive line
from Hillel, making sure to stop them from a number of 1st down
attempts. As Carl Young and #12 Isaiah "The Natural" Nelson
came up with big interceptions during the course of the game, it was
clear that our Saints would fight and win their first game of the
season.
Be sure to catch all
the action as the Saints look to take on the season with heads held high
and spirits soaring! |
