The Summit Christian School PTF was happy to present the

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at SCS from 11am-3pm
Saturday, Oct 3rd, 2009, over 700 Summit
family members/friends enjoyed themselves on our campus at the
Family Fun Picnic. With all of the inflatables inside this year, it
was a “cool place” for the kids to hang out and play while the
parents had a great time of fellowship. Did you know that it only
takes 29 seconds to drink a pudding cup with a straw? Just ask
alumnus Iris Torres as she showed everyone how it’s done in our Game
Zone. Thank you to The Crompton Family for donating the
hamburgers and hot dogs and to Delicci’s Catering for cooking
them as well as providing all the condiments. Also a big thank you
to the Publix in Boynton Beach for donating the buns. We had
plenty of food thanks to our families, who outdid themselves on the
pot luck side dishes.
We
also would like to thank the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office for bring
out the K-9 and Mounted Police Units for our families to learn more
about as well as the Solid Waste Authority for providing us with
useful information on recycling and the different programs they
offer.
The Chili
Cook-Off was a huge success! The participants had a great time
enticing the tasters to vote for their chili. In the end, Phil
Robinson, Aaron Atkins-Rivers and Kadeem Robinson repeated last
year's victory for the “Golden Ladle” with their “Father & Son’s
Value Chili” creation. The “Silver Ladle” went to Chris
Baylor/Harriett Baylor for their “Texas Style Chili” and the “Bronze
Ladle” went to Alfonso Scott for his “Havana Chili”. Thanks to all
who participated.
Thank you to the
School Board Members for their help sponsoring this event and a big
thank you to the PTF Board Members as well as all the other
volunteers who helped make this event run smoothly.

Collecting
and submitting Box Tops helps teachers earn cash for their classroom
use.
Top participating classes are awarded
each month (Dress Down Days, etc.).

counting the labels each month? Click

Tyson's
Project A+ Labels directly benefit our school,
too! Look for the Tysons Chicken products that bear this label.
Be careful to cut them out as indicated and submit them to your
students classrooms along with the
Box Tops and earn
cash for your class! |

The Campbell's Labels for Education Program has been supporting
schools for over 36 years. This year there's a new focus on the Arts,
Athletics and Academics programs that are important to Summit. Help us
