Meet Highlights |
MEET 1 Wed., Sept. 10, 2008:
Dreyfoos / PB Lakes - SCS Swim Team
is being represented by 8 of our students who have shown a
real passion for the sport. For 5 of these students, this
is the first time that they have been on a H.S. swim team,
but with their will to be part of the team and do it well
you would not know this by watching them swim. Our first
meet was at Gaines Park 9/10/08. The swimmers were
Kadeem Robinson, Nicholas Van Zee, Christian
Roman, and Cameron Codner. WAY
TO GO, BOYS! These boys
represented SCS not only by their own individual events, but
also by swimming 2 relays (200 freestyle relay & 200
individual medley)!!!
We look forward to the Seniors
(Allison Surette, Bryce Beck, Michael Van Zee, and Daniel
Torrens) joining us Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008 @ Lake
Worth H.S.
|
MEET 2 Wed., Sept. 17,
2008: Wellington & Lake Worth Community High School - Allie
and the boys did great!! Allie took all 2nds and 3rds in her
freestyle entries. The boys had a successful meet, too, and won
over Lake Worth Community High School. The SCS Swimmers competed
against Wellington and Lake Worth Community High School. The
Seniors were back! Seniors: Allison Surette, Michael Van Zee,
Bryce Beck and Daniel Torrens. Sophmore: Kadeem Robinson. 8th
Grade: Nicholas Van Zee and 7th Grade: Christian Roman. Way to
Go SCS SWIMMERS!!!!
YOUR LOOKING GOOD!!

MEET 3 Sat., Sept. 20,
2008: St. Andrews Invitational -
Over 500
swimmers from Palm Beach and Broward County competed in the
2nd Annual St. Andrews invitational. This is the first major
meet of the season and our first opportunity to compete against
some of the top swimmers in our area. Our swimmers had a solid
meet with improved times.
From left to
right in the photo are the swimmers who represented SCS. They
are as follows: Michael Van Zee, Cameron Codner, Allison
Surrette, Daniel Torrens, and Nicholas Van Zee.
Next Thursday, Sept. 25 (4:00pm start), we will be
competing against FAU and Berean Christian.
|
MEET 4 Wed., Sept. 24,
2008:
Summit Vs. Berean and FAU Henderson
- It was
great having the whole team representing SCS. FAU hosted the
meet on the FAU campus in Boca Raton. Allie Surette took 1st
place against both schools in the 100 yd. butterfly. She also
took 1st place in the 50 yd. freestyle against FAU
and 2nd in the 50 freestyle against Berean. The Boys
Relay took 1st Place in both the 200 Medley Relay, as
well as, the 200 Free Relay against both opponents. For the
boys, we had six 1st Place individual wins against
Berean and five 1st Place individual wins against FAU.
The boys ended up with a double win against both opponents.
It’s exciting
watching the times coming down as the season progresses.
You're
looking good!!!
