Summit is
a private, non-denominational, not-for-profit Christian
School. The purpose of Summit Christian School is to
provide a distinctive quality Christian education
founded on the principle that Jesus is our Savior and
the source of all truth. We expand this principle and
show how this truth can be applied in all facets of
life. Bible is a required subject in all grades.
Utilizing the best available Christian texts and
curriculum, students are taught how to read and
understand the Bible and apply its foundations to modern
living. Biblical principles are integrated into the
daily lives of students through all subject areas,
sports and social activities. K5 - 12th grade students
attend a weekly chapel service geared to their level of
understanding. Middle and High School Students begin
each weekly chapel with praise and worship music
presented by a praise & worship team of students.
To further
develop the character of our students, we offer
opportunities for them to participate in Community
Service Projects. To graduate from Summit, High School
students must earn a total of 100 hours of
community
service. They are encouraged to complete 25 hours each
high school year by either participating in various
events at school or by getting involved with their
community needs. Our Elementary takes many opportunities
to introduce students to community and global needs as
they experience ministry through classroom sponsorship
of foreign missionaries with prayer support, donations
and personalized tokens of encouragement. Summit
Christian School students also serve the community
locally with other programs such as Environmental
Services (beach clean up, etc.), Food for Families and
Blood Bank Blood Drives.
Summit
Christian School takes pride in its state and nationally
recognized
Fine Arts program. The Fine Arts are
incorporated into daily life at Summit. Elementary
through High School students locally participate in a
wide range of programs which amplify a students talents
and stretch their educational capacity. Each spring, the
students in 1st - 12th grades compete in various
