It
is our commitment to give preschoolers quality care and
creative teaching with love and laughter in every area
of social, cognitive, physical and spiritual
development. Every child is a gift from God and unique
in a very special way.
Our center
is open daily from 7:00am until 6:00pm. Times of student
arrival are flexible to suit the needs of the childs
family.
However, we do encourage that the VPK-K4 students be
present by 8:30am so that they receive the academic
instruction and activities planned for each day. Please
understand that if any child arrives after 8:30am, the
teacher cannot go back to a subject or activity
that may have already been covered that morning.

The
infant/toddler day is filled with learning verbal
and fine motor skills, expressions and enthusiasm.
Smiles and laughter bring joy as personalities and
abilities develop daily. The Wee Learn Curriculum
provides activities to develop social skills appropriate
for this stage. Focusing on their spiritual, physical,
mental and emotional growth provides a balanced program
of early childhood education. Infants enjoy buggy-rides
around campus and toddlers are becoming more coordinated
as they play on the toddler playground.
Two year old students are filled with endless
energy. They enjoy exploring learning centers, circle
time, music and Bible stories. The A Beka Curriculum
includes Numbers and Skills with Button Bear which
sharpens listening skills, following directions and
eye-hand coordination. Hands-on activities are fun and
sometimes messy with arts, crafts, painting, gluing,
play-doh and tracing with markers. We believe it is the
process not the product that is important. Creativity
is to be enjoyed and does not have to be explainable.
Playground time rounds out the day for necessary gross
motor development.
Conversation
with three year old students definitely increases
at this fun age. The A Beka Curriculum is expanded to
include Letters and Sounds which helps the children
recognize the letter and the letters sound. These
lessons are designed to teach early writing skills which
are practiced in a variety of creative ways. The
children develop their fine motor skills through
hands-on projects and masterpieces full of color and
design (suitable for framing or refrigerator display).
Bible stories, devotions and prayer are a special way to
begin circle time each day. Learning about our Community
Helpers and having guests speak to the children is a
favorite time.
VPK is
available for our Pre-Kindergarten students entering K4.
Classrooms are filled with ideas, creativity,
expressions and booming personalities. Language
development increases in phonics, reading and writing
using pocket-sized alphabet cards and writing/readiness
skills workbooks. Most students are able to read,
understand the concepts of vowels, consonants and blend
words, and understand many simple math concepts by the
end of the year. Praise & Worship with devotions and
prayer is enjoyed each day. Chapel is a special time
when they join the Elementary students to hear Gods
Word. Spanish, Music and Art enhance the curriculum,
broadening their world of learning. Playground time each
morning and afternoon and daily free-play (rotating to
different Learning Centers) balances the day.
